In The Beginning...

The origin of the Pro Shop lies in a chance meeting between Ed Fowler and Loren Tindall in the late 1990s at a Psychic Entertainers Association convention. Loren had (and still has) a fascination with Robert Nelson, and Ed had known Nelson and his wife when he was a youngster visiting Nelson's store in Columbus, Ohio. Ed mentioned that he had some of the original Nelson pitch books, and suggested that it might be interesting to update them and offer them to the magic and mentalism market. One thing led to another, and for the first couple years Ed and Loren concentrated solely on a line of pitch books for the allied arts community.

A Turning Point

A major turning point came as a result of Loren buying an early copy of Millard Longman's Acidus Novus manuscript. Several lengthy phone calls later, they decided to publish the Psychic Skills Workshop package, which included a booklet and audio CD based on Millard's workshops for hypnotists and the general public. Millard played an invaluable role in the Pro Shop's development not only through his own creations, but also by recommending other authors for publication, including Enrique Enriquez and Gene Nielsen.

The Snowball Effect

Over the following years, more established authors -- Ron Martin, Larry Baukin, Fred Crouter, and Charles "Cicardi" Scott, to name just a few -- chose to have their work published by the Pro Shop. As the Pro Shop catalog expanded, more relatively less-familiar authors like Stefan Dardik, C. Dayton, Scott Drebus, Dale Hildebrandt, Fred Rosenbaum, and Michael Spremulli published their creations, and the Pro Shop became a go-to source for magicians, mentalists and psychic readers around the world.

And Now...

Today the Pro Shop is proud to present to the psychic entertainers community a variety of educational products with an emphasis on marketing materials and systems for readings and public presentations. We welcome new and old customers alike, regardless of experience, just as we welcome new authors in search of a larger audience.
